Apartamentos Sousa - Funchal (Madeira)

The value for the money was excellent, the room wassuper clean and cozy. The location was great, near the beautiful Santa Maria area with a fantastic local restaurant nearby. The staff, especially Lisa, was cute and efficient.

Breakfast offerings could have been improved with a wider selection.

This place is situated in a lovely area within a short walk to downtown restaurants and offers beautiful views of the city and main streets in the Old Town.

The staff was amiable and great to chat with. During the stay everything was very easy and I got ironing as a compliment. My bed was exceptionally comfortable and had hypoallergenic pillows. The view of sea was marvellous! It had an absolutely perfect and nice setting adjacent to the cable car and Madeira Story Centre, good restaurants and bars and Madeira.

I had a fantastic stay in a spacious and light-filled apartment located in the charming Old Town. the location was perfect, with easy access to the cable car station and a variety of restaurants downtown. the view of Funchal from the apartment was absolutely stunning, and I was just a short walk away from the sea. the room was comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. a great choice for anyone looking to be in the heart of the city.

The sofa in the living room was not the most comfortable, but it was still suitable for evening TV viewing.

Nice base for travelling to Funchal and sightseeing. Particularly good and magnificent setting in the old town of Funchal. Just next door to the ocean, the centre of Funchal, and the beach. Warm welcome from the host. Nicely furnished room provided in very good condition. Shower facilities, a hair dryer, and a bidet available. Views on marina.

The units at Apartamentos Sousa are cozy and well-equipped. We loved the comfy seating area where we could relax and watch the satellite flat-screen TV. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a microwave and fridge. The private bathroom was spacious and had a bidet. Plus, the suite even had a washing machine, which was super convenient for us as a young family.

We personally didn't really like the tile/marble floor in the suite. But hey, that's just our taste and others might find it fancy!

Excellent view and location, clean and new apartment with friendly hosts. Well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed with crisp white linens. Close to the city center and public swimming areas. a great option for exploring the island.

As adventurous travelers, we loved the proximity to good restaurants, perfect for satisfying our taste buds after a day of exploring. the large shower was a refreshing treat, and having coffee provided was a great pick-me-up in the morning. the comfortable apartment made us feel right at home. the host was friendly and communicated efficiently, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Felt like our own home, nothing to complain about.

I stayed at Apartamentos Sousa for a week while exploring the city. The central location was perfect and the view from the flat was breathtaking. The apartment exceeded my expectations with amenities like a washing machine and espresso machine. The host, Lisa, was incredibly helpful and made me feel at home. Plus, the nearby multi-storey car park made parking stress-free. The charming old houses and the nearby bar/cafe added to the dreamy atmosphere. it's an excellent place to stay.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

I had a fantastic stay at this top, floor apartment! the panoramic view of the city, harbour, and ocean was absolutely breathtaking. the apartment was clean, well, furnished, and had all the basic amenities I needed. the hosts, Sérgio and Lisa, were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They even waited for me to check, in late in the evening. Communication with them was easy via Whatsapp. I will definitely be returning!
